For some interesting challenges and a chance to meet other artist’s online, try out the Artist’s Network. I did the 5 object challenge and won a $50 gift certificate to North Light Books! It had to have a candle, key, feather, pen and scarf.

I won an award of merit at the the Arizona Artist’s Guild’s Spring Show for “Lost Marbles.”
I attended the Portrait Society conference in Reston, VA. It was wonderful! So many portrait artists in one place, and some of the very best in the field. I had a great time and learned so much! Got to see my friend/teacher David Kassan, who gave me a critique of one of my paintings. His painting won first place in the competition. I also got to explore Washington DC with my sister, Barb. We had some good German food and a fun moonlight monument trolley tour.
